Get Ready for Google I/O: Samsung Made Nexus 11 Tablet Specs Leak

The annual Google I/O developer event is set to take place in less than a fortnight. We have seen leaked details of a new Google Nexus branded tablet which was probably going to be revealed during the three days'Google I/O conference. Last year the Nexus 7 tablet arrived and this year, it could be a larger Nexus 11 tablet if leaked specifications pan out. The leaked specs basically boil down to following aspects:

Processor:
The rumored tablet is expected to ship with Samsung’s eight-core Exynos 5410 chip which consists of four Cortex-A15 cores for demanding tasks and four Cortex-A7 cores to handle lighter loads and preserve battery life.

Display:
The 11-inch display is expected to be a Super PLS TFT screen and I’d expect it to be at least 1920 x 1080 resolution, if not the same 2560 x 1600 resolution used on the current Nexus 10.

Camera:
The rear of the tablet could get an eight megapixel camera, while the front has a two megapixel sensor for video conferencing.

Operating System:
The tablet would likely launch with Android 4.3 or Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie, as Google's flagship device for the next-generation operating system.

MicroSD Card Support:
Another interesting inclusion said to be part of the upcoming Nexus 11 spec is the microSD card support. It will include a micro-SD card slot supporting up to 64GB of additional storage - a feature missing from the Nexus 10. This would be a very welcome addition for all future Google Nexus devices.

According to the news from a reliable source, a lower-end version of the slate could be in the works as well. Branded as a Samsung Galaxy Tab 11, this slate would no doubt carry the company’s TouchWiz overlay and more than likely a less powerful Exynos 5250 processor to keep costs down.

However, it is still awaiting Google approval for the Nexus branding. Whether Google will launch the device at its annual Google I/O event on the 15th of May, let us see!

A handset going by the model number XT1055 has popped up on a benchmarking app, leading people to believe it could relate to the new Motorola flagship smartphone - Motorola X Phone.

The benchmark scores for the rumored handset show an Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system with a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor. The AnTuTu benchmark of 18,252 does seem a little low, but we should know that this result is most likely not from final hardware. I will keep you informed as soon as I hear more.

Once slated to arrive as early as May, the smartphone now look like they could be delayed a few months. With Google I/O fast approaching, we can only hope to learn more about the XT1055 there
