Verdict: The Sony Xperia Tablet Z is noticeably slimmer and lighter than Google Nexus 10.

Os: When it comes to operating system, The Xperia Tablet Z is equipped with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, and Nexus 10 carrys the lattest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. An update to Android 4.2 is apparently in the works for Sony's device, however, currently the Nexus 10 is at a slight advantage as Android 4.2 is a bit quicker and has some extra features and interface tweaks which are quite beneficial.

Verdict: The Nexus 10 wins this round thanks to the priority at which it will receive new Android versions in the future.

Processor: On processor, the Xperia Tablet Z tends to impress with its QuadCore 1.5GHz Krait processor as opposed to Nexus 10's DualCore 1.7GHz Cortex A15 processor. Both processors are more than enough for almost anything you can throw at it. Verdict: Sony wins hands-down in this section.

Network: The Google Nexus 10 completely disappoints as it does not have a provision for a SIM card which sadly means no 3G/4G LTE, but Sony Xperia Tablet Z has definitely hit it out of the park with provision for a microSim, enabling the device to use 3G and 4G LTE to its advantage.

Verdict: Sony Xperia Tablet Z excels Google Nexus 10 in this respect.

I think the Sony Xperia Tablet Z knocks out the Google Nexus 10 in most aspects from inside and outside. But will Sony live up to the expectation or will it be another dud like the Sony Xperia Tablet S? I guess only time will tell!
