Just a couple of weeks after Samsung company made its new Galaxy S4 a reality, rumors has turned around for Samsung Galaxy S4's little sibling - the Galaxy s4 Mini now. Just like Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini to Samsung Galaxy S3, which resembled the looks of its bigger brother but didn’t have even close to the same specs, Galaxy s4 is specially designed to be a mid-range smartphone that will compliment the larger, more expensive model. Lately, more and more rumors regarding the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini have started to pile up, let us see it one-by-one.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Specs:

A recent news report had suggested that the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini will sport a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 256ppi, an 8-megapixel camera, 1GB of RAM, and 8/16/32GB of storage. It is expected to run Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) with Samsung's own TouchWiz Nature UX 2.0 UI layer on top. Rumors said that Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini will be made in both standard single and dual-SIM renditions with the two models featuring quad-core and dual-core processors respectively.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Launch Date:

It is said that Samsung is to rather quietly launch the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, much like it did with the Galaxy S3 Mini, chosing a relatively random day to issue a press release for the device. Rumors have suggested that it could launch as soon as this week, but so far, we have seen nothing. We think that Samsung will likely wait for the larger Galaxy S4 to arrive before announcing anything new.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Release Date:

Currently, Samsung has not yet come out with a Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini release date despite confirming the smartphone for arrival. The Mini will supposedly go on sale shortly after the full-sized Galaxy S4 does. It is reported that the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini release date will not be held until the end of May or early June, a little over a month after the S4 lands.

One of the nice things about the mini versions of these phones is that they come with cheaper price tag. While the Galaxy S4 will check in with standard on-contract pricing of $199.99 for the 16GB model and $249.99 for the 32GB model, any Galaxy S4 model coming to the United States would likely cost much less.

Last Thursday, Samsung released the new Galaxy S4 in New York's Radio City Music Hall. And rumors prior to the release of the new Samsung Galaxy S4 suggesting that it would outperform the Apple iPhone devices and help the South Korean tech giant maintain its winning run in the worldwide smartphone industry. But will the new Samsung flagship smartphone have any major effect on its fierce rival - the upcoming iPhone 5S? Samsung Galaxy S4: 1.6 GHz octa-core processor

Apple iPhone 5S: The iPhone 5 uses an A6 chip, while the iPad 4 has a more advanced A6x chip. Apple's iPhone 5S is may step up to use this more advanced chip architecture. And we think the eight-core processor in the Galaxy S4 could be overkill.

Battery:

Samsung Galaxy S4: 2,600 mAh

Apple iPhone 5: The iPhone 5 does not feature a removable back which likely means that iPhone 5S owners will be stuck with the battery. The Galaxy S4's battery seems significantly bigger than the upcoming iPhone 5S's.

Software:

Samsung Galaxy S4: Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean

Apple iPhone 5S: While the iPhone 5 ushered in the era of iOS 6 with Apple Maps, Passbook and more, the iPhone 5S will more than likely arrive with the new iOS 7 on board. But I think picking which operating system is better is largely down to the individual user's personal preference as each of the two operating systems has its unique and innovative features.

Samsung Galaxy S4: 13MP rear, 2MP front

Apple iPhone 5S: Camera in the upcoming iPhone 5S is rumoured to be capable of taking "Super HD" pictures. In order to take snaps at that resolution it'll need to have at least a 13 mega-pixel camera.

Storage:

Samsung Galaxy S4: 16/32/64GB user memory + microSD slot (up to 64GB)

Apple iPhone 5S: 16/32/64GB internal

Both devices are available with multiple storage options. If you really want to store a lot of media, Samsung is offering up its new HomeSync product, which offers users 1TB of storage via a streaming server.

However, I think specs aren't always 100 percent accurate, which means it is impossible to know which is better till we've had more hands-on time with the iPhone 5S. Certainly the iPhone 5S is one of the S4's biggest potential competitor, its real enemy, which will appear in the second quarter of the year.

Samsung Galaxy S4 AnTuTu Benchmark Confirms Eight-Core Exynos 5 Octa CPU

After relatively short break regarding the Samsung Galaxy S4 release date and specs rumors, new details regarding the next-gen Samsung flagship are hitting the web. This time, the highly-anticipated Galaxy S4 has been spotted in benchmark logs, which confirm an Exynos 5 Octa CPU for the smartphone.

                           

According to the Samsung Galaxy S4 benchmark logs, a Korean variant (SHV-E300S) and an international variant (GT-I9500) are listed. It was revealed that it will be a smartphone underpinned by an 1.8 GHz octa-core processor and running on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean out of the box.

                           

Other reports are indicating that Samsung Galaxy S4 will pack a 4.99-inch Super AMOLED display with full HD resolution, a 13 megapixel camera on the back, full HD 2 megapixel user-facing camera, plus 2 GB of RAM. The report also stated that the Galaxy S4 would have a chunkier body with 9.1mm thickness, which is quite thicker than the current Galaxy S3 model that is only 8.6mm thick.

                    

A new report, coming straight from South Korea, hit the web saying that the next generation Galaxy S smartphone would be released in April 2013 with S Pen functionality.
